STEP 1

This play can be run with only one low post occupied or even with all 5 players spaced out. In both cases, the biggest players on the court who were not assigned in the play will set the screen.

STEP 2

STEP 4

Once positioned this way, 2 will choose which side to go, using the interior on that side as a screen. 3, after seeing 2’s choice, will move to the opposite 45º. 1 will pass to 2 if he is open, otherwise to 3 if there is no passing lane to 2.

STEP 5

The pivot on the side opposite to where the ball was received will step up to play a direct screen toward the center with the ball handler. Then he will continue to the basket.  The pivot on the opposite side will move to the corner to create space. 3 will occupy his corner, and 1 will move to the opposite 45º after passing.

STEP 6

In this situation, "2" can finish at the basket, pass to the continuation of the screen, or look for a pass to the corners where 3 and 5 should be.
