STEP 1
Bigs are low, 2 + 3 plus 1 are all good ball handlers with the ability and willingness to drive. Ideally 2 + 3 can shoot well, but whoever is shooting better will receive the screen. 1 needs to know who that is
STEP 2
Each player is located strategically to maximize effectiveness in the first phase of the attack.
STEP 3
The initial setup is organized to create synergy between movements, screens, and passes for the opening play.
