STEP 2

Center adjusts position to facilitate ball movement and anticipate the defense. 2 places themselves strategically to generate passing angles and anticipate defensive moves. 3 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. Power forward moves strategically to provide new passing lanes and open space.

STEP 3

Once positioned in a 1-3-1 offense in the open spaces, 1 attacks through the middle to unbalance the defense. Normally the two top defenders will close the middle of the zone.

STEP 4

Shooting guard places themselves strategically to generate passing angles and anticipate defensive moves. Point guard changes location seeking advantage over the defender and scoring opportunities.

STEP 5

1 passes to the wing, in this case 3, while 4, the low post, positions in front of the defender, and 5 positions at the high post on the strong side of the court.

STEP 6

Now the wing decides what to do:
- 3-point shot
- Dribble and 2-point shot
- Pass to 4 in the low post to shoot or continue the play.
- Pass to 5 in the high post, to shoot or continue the play

STEP 7

STEP 8

Wing 2 receives and finishes with
- A 3-point shot.
- Dribble and 2-point shot.
- Drive
It is important that our post players move diagonally to create an alternative:
- 5 moves to the opposite low post.
- 4 moves to the opposite high post.

STEP 9

Let's suppose defender 3 gets there in time to prevent the shot:
- 2 can pass to 5 in the low post to finish and/or continue the play.
- 2  can pass to 4 in the low post to finish and/or continue the play.

STEP 10

let's suppose that after reversing the ball, defender 1 gets to our wing 2, defender 3 stays low, defenders 5 and 4 in their area of responsibility and defender one in the high area.

STEP 11
