#Special basketball plays

STEP 1 The initial setup is organized to create synergy between movements, screens, and passes for the opening play.
STEP 2
Exteriors try to receive. They have several options:
  • Curl using the inside screens
  • Cut from below Stagger Screen for both exteriors and move outside for reception
  • Fake bottom screen, reception feint.
STEP 3
In this diagram, it is Curl rizo. We can delay the release trying for one exterior to cut first and then the other exterior shortly after, and see the possibility of an inside pass.
STEP 4
Once passed to one of the exteriors, passer screens the weak side for a possible pass to 2
STEP 5
5 looks to receive from 3, but if not, plays Cross Screen between the inside players.
STEP 6
4 and 5 look to receive. 5 high post and 4 low post. If the ball doesn’t arrive, we play with 5 BD with 3

STEP 7
Playing BD, 5 will continue inside:
Possible situations:
  1. JCB drives to the basket
  2. JCB then passes to 5
  3. JCB passes outside to create a triangle with 2 or 3
  4. JCB passes to 4, who occupies strong side space for an outside shot.

STEP 8 4 alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options.
STEP 9
STEP 10
STEP 11
STEP 12 Initial positions are set so the team can move in a coordinated way and create space.
