In this defense, the defense of the high post player is very important. There must always be a player in front to prevent the reception since it is the most critical area of our defense.
Our 3 (forward) is responsible for defending the ball handler initially, although there will be rotations in other options. At the top of the zone are 1 and 2, and at the bottom are 4 and 5.
In this option, 4 and 5, who defend the bottom of the zone, trap the receiver. The player who was defending the high post on the ball side adjusts to prevent the pass to the corner. The other high defender stays in help in the middle of the zone, and 3 is attentive to return passes to the high post and the 3-point line on the ball side.

Belongs to set: Defensa zonal 1-2-2
