This offensive system is an evolution of an original idea from American coach Dean Smith used in his later years at the University of North Carolina, which is to overload with the point guard and interchange the posts to create a good clear-out.
In this case, we will first try to play an option between the big men,
to then play the clear-out. Additionally, we continue with a double screen at the baseline for the same player in case the clear-out option is not possible.
It is a relatively simple offensive system, but it should only (or at least must) be used with players who master basic game concepts and have a good level when executing individual fundamentals. Regarding timing, it is not necessary to run it at full speed. Even doing it slowly, properly setting screens and making good rhythm changes, would be more productive.
