STEP 1
We send the posts, the point guard leans to one side, the inside player on that side goes up to the free-throw line, while the perimeter player on that side sets a screen for the inside player on the opposite low post. At this moment we have the first option: an isolation so the ball handler can play a 1-on-1 with their defender. If that happens, the inside player coming off the screen must read the situation to avoid interfering and take their defender away from the 1-on-1.
STEP 2
The inside player who is screened goes out to receive the ball in the opposite low post, and almost at the same time, the inside player at the free-throw line goes down to set the screen for the perimeter player to come out and receive the ball at the three-point line.
STEP 3
The perimeter player receives the ball and decides what to do if there is a clear shooting or penetration opportunity.
STEP 4
If that is not the case, the inside players must come up to set an indirect screen for the perimeter players.
STEP 5
The perimeter players must cut to the basket asking for the ball.
STEP 6
If they cannot receive, we call for a handoff or a direct screen from one of the inside players.
STEP 7
and we position ourselves as is to, in addition to the pick and roll, give more passing options to the teammate who seeks penetration, always trying to create as much space as possible.
