1-2-2 defense, option pass to the low post from the corner

Our 3 (forward) is responsible for defending the ball handler initially, although there will be rotations in other options. At the top of the zone are 1 and 2, and at the bottom 4 and 5.
In this option we did not trap 2-on-1 in the corner, and when the pass goes to the low post we do a 2-on-1 on that player. The rest of the players adjust to be in help and aware of the passing lanes.
The initial setup is organized to create synergy between movements, screens, and passes for the opening play.

Power forward shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. 3 alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options. 2 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency.

Initial positions are set so the team can move in a coordinated way and create space.
