2 - Opposite diagonals
STEP 1

Two lines of players at mid-court, facing each other. Everyone has a ball except the first player in one of the lines.

STEP 2

Player 2 passes to 1, who previously changed direction; 1 receives the ball at free throw level and drives to the basket or shoots. Then, player 2 does the same as 1 but at the opposite basket, receiving from player 3. The player who drives or shoots grabs their own rebound and moves to the opposite line.

Drill

2 - Opposite diagonals

Objective: The fundamental objective pursued with this exercise is the long pass and at the same time the shots to the basket with both hands or the shot, if applicable. Another important objective is changes of direction without the ball.

Pedagogical considerations
: Players must be told to rotate outside the field, dribbling or without dribbling. We can include cones and force direction changes to be made in front of them and in different ways. We can also vary the way of passing and the shooting positions.
