Defensive balance 1v0+1 - STEP 1: <div>The drill begins:</div><ul><li>JCB goes to score on the opposite basket (transition work, technically a speed dribble), we can set rules for dribbling (minimum number of dribbles)</li><li>Once he scores, the player from that basket goes to perform the same action his teammate did on the other basket
The drill begins:
  • JCB goes to score on the opposite basket (transition work, technically a speed dribble), we can set rules for dribbling (minimum number of dribbles)
  • Once he scores, the player from that basket goes to perform the same action his teammate did on the other basket. 
  • The first player who scored must sprint back to defend his basket while the other teammate goes out on a speed dribble. 
  • Defensive rule:
  • If unable to stop him, contest the finish and/or grab the rebound without letting the ball hit the floor.
STEP 1

The drill begins:

  • Once he scores, the player from that basket goes to perform the same action his teammate did on the other basket. 
  • The first player who scored must sprint back to defend his basket while the other teammate goes out on a speed dribble.

3 changes location seeking advantage over the defender and scoring opportunities. 1 places themselves strategically to generate passing angles and anticipate defensive moves. Power forward places themselves strategically to generate passing angles and anticipate defensive moves. Shooting guard moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow.
