Diamond formation to then execute a Spanish Pick and Roll
STEP 1
Power forward blocks the defender, opening space for cuts, drives, or shots. 2 moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. Power forward adjusts position to facilitate ball movement and anticipate the defense. 5 performs a tactical screen causing mismatches in the opponent’s defense. Small forward shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. Point guard alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options.
STEP 2
If 2 cannot shoot, he receives a ball screen from 5, who in turn gets an off-ball screen from 3 to make his roll easier (SPR). After the screen, 3 pops out.
