$ players attack from the positions shown in the diagram and must work on fakes and pivots to pass to their teammates. Passes cannot be made diagonally. The drill progresses by adding a third defender; now diagonal passes are allowed, and on the whistle the attackers move out to the three-point line and play 4v3.
Later, a fourth defender can be added once the whistle is blown or after, for example, 3 passes.
