TRANSITION 5 TOP (Hand-off variant)
STEP 1

We attack the basket, and if there is no advantage, we make a pass back (if the 1-on-1 is not clear, dribble to the semi-corner or as wide as possible to allow a pass back and start with the ball at 45).

STEP 2

We aim to start the reversal with a reception work by 5, with the possibility of using backdoor cuts depending on how the defense reacts.

STEP 3

We cannot pass to 45, so the player who cannot receive will make a cut or backdoor to see if we gain an advantage, staying in the low post while the player from the corner moves up to get a 1-on-1 opportunity.

STEP 4

A pin-down screen is set for the move to 45 to shoot or look for an interior pass, or otherwise wait for a direct screen with our 5.
