STEP 1

4 moves strategically to provide new passing lanes and open space. Center moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. 3 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. 2 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency.

STEP 2

5 moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. Shooting guard shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. Power forward shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency.

STEP 3

1 alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options. 4 changes location seeking advantage over the defender and scoring opportunities. Shooting guard shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency.

STEP 4

5 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. 2 changes location seeking advantage over the defender and scoring opportunities. 4 moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. 3 shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency. 1 alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options.

STEP 5

Initial positions are set so the team can move in a coordinated way and create space.

Play

4-1 Formation

Shift to the side opposite the 5 to start.
5 moves to the elbow; (If not received, 1 plays one-on-one with the corner or 5 opens to invert).
If a pass goes to the corner, (NEVER BEFORE AN INVERT) pass to 5 and opposite wing cut. 
If pass to high post, wings swap positions vertically.
