Secure Defensive Rebound after Transition + 3v2 Return
Basketball drill secure defensive rebound after transition + 3v2 return
STEP 1

We perform 5vs0 waves toward the opposite basket, but the last player/receiver must finish with a shot.
The first 2 players to touch the ball (diagram 1 and 3) are responsible for securing the defensive rebound, so they must arrive first.
The other 2 players work on offensive rebounding.

STEP 2

If the finish is a made basket, we fight for the rebound. If the defense secures it, they attack the opposite side with the shooter.
Work on 3vs2 numerical advantages
If the rebound is secured by the offense, they attack the same basket until there is a score or the ball goes to the defense.
The game becomes 2vs2, with the shooter acting as an outside support

STEP 3

1 alters position to create defensive mismatches and penetration options. Power forward moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. Small forward shifts to an optimal spot on the court to maximize offensive efficiency.

STEP 4

The return will be in disadvantage. Those who secure the rebound can be inbounders or even defenders and will attack with the shooter. It will be a 3 vs 2 advantage.
