Defensive balance exercise. Two against two with the advantage for the attack

Drill

The attackers will start with a superiority, which they must take advantage of before the second defender quickly makes the defensive balance, and manages to recover his position, helping his teammate, and generating a 2v2 static situation in midfield.

STEP 1
The initial pass to either of the two players on the wing must be strong and precise; a bad pass that clearly favors the defender’s recovery will not be allowed.
STEP 2
The passer’s duty is to delay the attackers as much as possible, allowing the other defender to arrive, and create a 2x2 situation with numerical balance. The use of arms will be crucial, as well as fakes to make the attackers hesitate. Both defenders must communicate well when adjusting this numerical disadvantage.
