"2" three-point play

The play starts in a 1-2-2 formation, with the pivots and the power forward at the free-throw line elbows, and the shooting guard and small forward in the baseline spots. Player 1 dribbles toward 45° on the side of player 2. Players 4 and 5 move down to set a double stack screen for player 3, who will later come out to take a three-point shot from the top of the key. This would be the first scoring opportunity.

if nothing develops, 3 keeps the ball and 4 and 5 move to the baseline and set another double screen but toward the baseline, where 2 will cut to the opposite side of the court to receive from 3, creating a second scoring opportunity: a three-point shot by our shooter 2 (the play is called 'two' for this shooting option of player 2).

and if there is no possibility of a three-point shot, the play ends with a pick & roll between 2 and 5 at 45°, where the scoring options can be: a shot by 2 attacking hard off the screen, a pass and shot from 1, or playing a pick & roll with 5 for a score.
