The Fortress

Drill

The objective is for players to learn to pass and cut without interfering in the zone, hence the rule that only one player can touch a cone at a time. They should learn the timing to move and cut to the basket without the defender noticing.

Depending on the number of players. For about ten players, two will defend the fortress, which is a zone made by four cones 1 meter apart. The rest form a circle and pass the ball. If a player runs to the fortress and touches the cones without being caught by defenders, they score. If two players touch cones simultaneously, they do not score and switch to defend the fortress. Defenders cannot leave the cone fortress.
