Objective of the simple 3v0 fast break drill

  • Organize the approach to the opposing court, providing clear options in case the first option cannot be executed. Also, note that in these drills, we only work with the 3 outer players.
  • Intensity and speed. We must demand maximum execution speed and reinforce it with positive feedback.

Development

Three players are positioned at the baseline, two at the corners, and one in the center, the latter with the ball. They will advance with passes toward the opposite basket to score on the move. We can require them not to dribble, or if they are beginners, force them to keep the ball off the floor at all times.

When the players master the drill, we should vary it to work on other objectives and more advanced content.


Variations

Pass limit. Limit the number of passes they can make to 2 or 3, depending on how fast we want them to run.
