Passing and 1-on-1
Basketball drill passing and 1-on-1
STEP 1

Set-up of the players, cones and balls on the court.
4 players on each side. One line consists of players with a ball and the other of players without a ball.

STEP 2

The players with the ball on each side move toward the cones, as do the players opposite them. Upon reaching the cone, the ball handlers pass to the player on the opposite half of the court and switch roles to defend a 1-on-1 on their own half. The players receiving the pass become the attackers.

STEP 3

The players who have just completed the drill switch lines. The next players begin.

STEP 4

The drill restarts.

Variations:
  1. The players with the ball can start on the same sideline at opposite ends of the court to work on dribbling with both the right and left hand and reversing the ball with passes.
  2. A dribble limit can be set after receiving the pass before finishing.
  3. A time limit can be set for finishing the play.
  4. A specific type of finish can be required.
  5. Etc.
