CLOSE OUT DRILLS - EXERCISE 2 (extra)

Drill
1506 views ·
DEVELOPMENT:

The drill starts when the defender passes the ball to the attacker. At that moment, the defender will approach the attacker, starting with the first task of the drill: hand activity for defense. The attacker will help the defense by moving the ball (simulating protecting it). When the attacker is ready, he will plant the ball on the ground, and the roles will change (attack becomes defense and defense becomes attack). The defender must step into the paint with both feet before going to defend the close-out. The attacker must perform 2 hand changes between the legs before attacking.

VARIANTS:

- If the defender is able to arrive before the attacker completes the 2 hand changes, the coach can ask the attacker to do only 1 hand change before initiating the 1x1.
