DRILL 28 - "Read and React"

STEP 1

Players are positioned at key points on the court, seeking offensive and defensive balance.

STEP 2

1 sets a precise screen helping a teammate penetrate towards the basket. Shooting guard executes an effective screen maintaining the team’s offensive flow.

STEP 3

1 moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow. Shooting guard places themselves strategically to generate passing angles and anticipate defensive moves. Point guard moves to support teammates and maintain constant game flow.

Drill

DRILL 28 - "Read and React"

Player with the ball drives around the two passive defensive players in the paint. They start set parallel to the baseline and when the offensive player approaches they set one foot slightly in front of the other. The goal of the offensive player is to attack the side where the defense’s leg is in front. After the offensive player finishes, the top defender gets open for the outlet pass, and the offensive player and the second defender stay in the paint as defensive players.
