Fakes, passes and drives
STEP 1

Start of the drill:
  1. Initial setup of players, cones and balls.

STEP 2

  1. Player 1 passes to player 5 who drives, fakes, makes a retreat dribble and penetrates to the basket going around the cone and through the middle of the lane. Once he enters the paint, he passes to the corner to player 2. Player 1 replaces player 5 once the movement begins.
  2. Player 2 passes to player 1 so he can start the sequence of the previous play.
On the opposite side, they follow the same sequence alternately.

STEP 3

Variants:
  1. Add more balls and finish with a shot.
  2. Finish with a layup using the opposite hand from the other side.
  3. Add another line behind the basket to provide opposition to the penetrating player.
  4. The same player who passes to the corner runs out to perform the close out.

Drill

Fakes, passes and drives

In this drill, we will divide the players into 2 groups and split the court into right and left sides. Each group will start on one side, and when the coach says so or the set time passes, they will switch sides. Players with the ball are placed in the corners and another without the ball at 45º on the perimeter. A cone on each side at 45º and slightly inside the perimeter.
