STEP 1

I have added A4, although in reality the initial pass is made by one of the defenders. Players are positioned as shown in the diagram. When player 8 passes to any of the other three, the receiver shoots, while the three players on the baseline engage their defenders to box out for the rebound. The first option is a fast break towards the opposite basket. If the offense secures the rebound, play continues as a 3-on-3 at the same basket, with the requirement of making at least one pass into the low post.
The initial pass can be made from any defender to any attacker.
