Concepts vs zone I - STEP 1: <div>Let's break down how we can shape our players to attack a 2-3 zone
Let's break down how we can shape our players to attack a 2-3 zone.
We start the exercise with 2 perimeter players.
We always start with JCB at 45º (Simulating an overload) who must split between the 2 defenders in the middle.
JSB will occupy space (Spacing) at 45º on the opposite side.
Options to work on:
  • Split and pass to JSB who can shoot/penetrate.
  • Split and finish, either 1/2 distance shot, penetration (Ex: float, jump shot, Eurostep....)
We work on both aspects individually while including components of individual technique
EX1: JCB splits and passes to perimeter 1 who works Spacing and catch-and-shoot.
EX2: JCB splits and can finish with stop-and-shoot (stepstep)
